End the War of the Sexes

Our modern-day gender roles have become complicated. Are we all meant to be the same, or is there still room for complementarity? What I've found is that regardless, we all have a need to be right (even if that's being right about being wronged). So how can we navigate this in romantic relationship? And how can we give each other a way to win, rather than taking on a competitive energy stemming from our own insecurities?

Drama Triangle

We've all experienced the blame game of the Victim, Persecutor, Rescuer triangle. The Victim naturally blames the Persecutor, and the Persecutor blames the Victim. But the Rescuer often plays a more collusive role, in what initially appears to be virtuous, but often ends up further disempowering the Victim. The key is to transcend these victim consciousness dynamics, ascending to a place of personal responsibility and self-sovereignty.

You're Welcome, and I'm Sorry

I recently had an experience with my youngest daughter surrounding impulsivity and personal responsibility. But what came up was a realization that she had experienced hurt because of my decisions in the past. When we have the opportunity to simply allow for someone else's experience, to feel it and apologize, we can facilitate healing.
